After his amazing workout with the Mavericks earlier this week, the excitement around Flagg has increased even more, and Mavericks fans are eager for him to arrive in Dallas.

NBA insider Marc Stein reports that Dwight Powell will exercise his $4 million player option rather than opting out to test the waters of free agency, giving the Mavericks their first commitment of the summer just before they pick Flagg on Wednesday. Powell is a diehard Maverick, so this move was expected. Dallas now simply needs to wait for Kyrie Irving to respond with his player option.
