Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat series seemed like it would head all the way to Game 7 after the 2-2 draw between the sides. But after two home wins, Sixers did not have an answer to Heat’s onslaught in the remaining matches and folded in Game 6 with a 99-90 loss on the low-scoring night. It was a do-or-die situation for Sixers with elimination on the line, Heat but was looking forward to closing the series early to wait for their competitors in Eastern Conference Finals.
Miami started out well with a 7-0 lead building pressure on Sixers right from the start. Philadelphia did pick up the pace later but Danny Green’s injury hurt the team’s chances of recovering. It was Miami’s Max Strus who scored 16 points on 5/7 shooting and 3/5 from three-point distance to lead all the scorers. Heat now awaits the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics series.
