Without All-Stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 103-101 on Wednesday night, led by Kyle Kuzma's 19 points and 13 rebounds. Kuzma, who was playing his fourth game for Milwaukee after being acquired from Washington, grabbed the rebound after Anthony Edwards missed a jumper for Minnesota in the closing seconds.
In the Bucks' last game before the All-Star break, Gary Trent Jr., who attended a high school in a suburb of the Twin Cities, scored 21 points off the bench. Six out of eight had been lost. Lillard was rested due to a strained right hamstring, and Antetokounmpo missed his sixth consecutive game due to a strained left calf. Despite shooting 4 of 16 from 3-point range and 10 of 33 from the field, Edwards scored 28 points for Minnesota.
