New York Knicks defeated the Washington Wizards 118 to 109

Without RJ Barrett or Julius Randle, New York won, but the Wizards were also without four starters. Throughout the majority of the first half, the weakened teams squared up, with Dani Avdija's dribble penetration and Corey Kispert's scoring causing havoc for New York's defence. Yet, the Knicks had a number of players chip in to keep the game close until their defence stepped up in the second half. Although Jalen Brunson and Immanuel Quickley maintained their outstanding seasons, Quentin Grimes and Obi Toppin stepped up with more significant opportunities. Due to their opponent's undermanned defence, the Knicks raced away with the advantage in the fourth quarter.

Jalen Brunson made a slop first adjustment to Delon Wright's length. In the first quarter, the small point guard committed many errors that allowed fast-break goals.
