Nuggets took down the San Antonio Spurs 132-120

Nikola Jokic delivered a stellar performance with a season-high 39 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 132-120 victory over the struggling San Antonio Spurs. The highly anticipated Denver debut of top draft pick Victor Wembanyama for the Spurs saw an impressive individual effort of 22 points, 11 rebounds, six steals, and four blocks, marking him as the first rookie to achieve such stats in a single game. Despite Wembanyama's standout performance, the loss extended the Spurs' woes to a 12-game losing streak, the third-longest in franchise history.

Michael Porter Jr. contributed 25 points, and Reggie Jackson added 20 for the Nuggets, who maintained an undefeated record of 8-0 at home. The victory came after a challenging road trip, prompting Denver coach Michael Malone to shake up the rotation, including giving DeAndre Jordan significant playing time as Jokic's backup.
