New Orleans Pelicans have waived center Christian Koloko, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto. The move ends Koloko’s short stint with the organization after he signed a one-year deal in July and entered training camp competing for a place on the regular-season roster.
Koloko, 26, appeared in 27 games during the 2025-26 campaign, spending time with the Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks. He averaged 2.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 13.2 minutes per contest. His strongest performances came in Memphis, where he provided rebounding and rim protection off the bench. Selected 33rd overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2022 NBA Draft, Koloko has appeared in 122 regular-season games and owns career averages of 2.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.8 blocks. Because he has accumulated four years of NBA service, he is no longer eligible for a two-way contract anywhere.
