Philadelphia 76ers beat the Lakers 138-94

The NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) from the previous season, the Cameroonian centre, led Philadelphia to a 138-94 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Lakers with 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.

On the same night that the Sixers made 22 three-pointers in a single game—one fewer than the club record—he recorded his first triple-double of the season. He sunk 10 of his 12 free throw attempts and hit nine of his fifteen shots from the field, including two of his three from three-point range. Tyrese Maxey led Philadelphia with a game-high 31 points and eight assists. The team shot 47/93 from the field and 22/46 from three-point range. Maxey made five of twelve attempts from three-point range, Patrick Beverley four of eight from beyond the arc, and Marcus Morris four of five.
