Phoenix Suns to a 110-105 victory over Houston Rockets

Phoenix All-Star Midway through the fourth quarter on Thursday night, Devin Booker and freshman Cam Whitmore of Houston got into a little altercation, for which both players received technical foul calls. On the subsequent possession, Suns center Jusuf Nurkic supported his star player with a couple of huge blocks.

The Suns defeated the Rockets 110-105 thanks to 35 points from Booker and 24 from Kevin Durant. The clubs will play again in Phoenix on Saturday night. Before fouling out, Nurkic finished with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks. His greatest moment was in the fourth quarter, when he twice stuffed Whitmore on the possession that followed the altercation, eliciting loud cheers from the Phoenix audience. With 20 points in the first quarter, Booker helped the Suns take an 18-point lead that they would never let go of. This season, he has an NBA-high six quarters in which he has scored at least 20 points.
