Stephon Castle will miss the rest of the NBA Summer League

San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle will miss the rest of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas due to a right wrist sprain, the team announced. Castle sustained the injury in the fourth quarter of a win over the Portland Trail Blazers after a hard fall. Despite the injury, he continued to play after giving a thumbs up to the bench. Although the Spurs do not consider the injury serious, they are taking a cautious approach by sidelining him for the remainder of the Summer League.

They expect Castle to be ready for training camp in the fall. In the game where he was injured, Castle recorded 22 points, five rebounds, four assists, and one steal. He previously played in the California Classic, averaging 15 points, six rebounds, four assists, and 1.5 steals.
