Tatum pours 53 points to lead Celtics past Timberwolves

Boston Celtics ended their seven-game homestand with a win by forcing a comeback after being 17 points down and Jayson Tatum having a career night with his 53 points to snatch a win from Timberwolves in Overtime. Boston Celtics sealed a 145-136 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves, who maintained their lead but gave it away, in the end, to force the game into overtime.

The 23-year-old All-Star becomes the youngest Celtics player to score 50 and has broken the record kept by Larry Bird who reached the stage at 26. Celtics were without Evan Fournier, and the player would be absent from their three-game West Coast trip as well. Making up for the loss of Fournier Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, and Kemba Walker all combined to post 120 points off their 145.
