The Golden State Warriors have made a late addition to their roster just ahead of training camp by signing forward Kevin Knox to a one-year deal. However, Knox’s position on the team isn’t guaranteed—he’ll need to compete during training camp for a spot on the Warriors’ 15-man roster. Familiar with the Warriors organization, Knox played for Golden State during the California Classic and also made six appearances in the Las Vegas Summer League, where he averaged an impressive 16.0 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
Should Knox secure a spot on the team, he would likely serve as a low-cost bench option. With the Warriors currently operating under a hard salary cap, they can only offer him a veteran’s minimum contract, which would be around $3 million.
