On Wednesday, the Houston Rockets defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 122-115 on the road thanks to a season-high 41 points from Jalen Green and a strong performance by Alperen Sengun in overtime. The Minnesota Timberwolves’s defeat in overtime completed a sweep of the short two-game trip with double-doubles from Sengun (22 points, 14 rebounds) and Amen Thompson (19 and 13).
Guerschon Yabusele scored 22 points, and Tyrese Maxey scored 39 points and dished out ten assists for Philadelphia, which was still playing without Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Kyle Lowry. Despite coming back from an eight-point hole late in regulation, the Sixers dropped to 3-14 this season, and Caleb Martin was also benched. Before Sengun took over, Green made three free throws to equalize the score after Philadelphia had taken a three-point lead early in overtime.
