Brooklyn Nets have until 18th October to extend James Harden’s contract but chances are the All-Star might not put his name down on paper and make a deal with Nets. While Harden has not officially committed that he would be part of the Nets squad for the long term, the former Rockets player has given his commitment to the fans that he is in it for the long haul.
The plan is simple to wait out till the end of the season if it ends with a championship title Harden can demand a lot more from Nets. Just a year’s wait and he could ink an NBA-record amount. On the other hand, the other two of the Big 3 have already committed their future with Nets. If he signs after the season Harden could get a massive $270 million deal.
