A Knight to remember for Chennai Super Kings

Andre Russell and Pat Cummins forced a big comeback for Kolkata Knight Riders who were chasing a big score of 210. Even after a thrashing by Chahar at the start of the second inning which left them reeling behind with 31 for 5 in just five overs and Chahar proudly posted a figure of 4-29. Chennai Super Kings were then stunned by the works of Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik, and Pat Cummins who stood strong against the vicious bowling attack by Chennai to take Kolkata to 202 runs in the end but fell short of batsmen and succumbed in just 19.1 overs.

Russell posted 54 off 22 balls and enjoyed a good partnership with Karthik(40) of 81 runs in 39 balls. Later Cummins took charge and went 66 not out off 34 balls. Chennai saw a great effort by Faf du Plessis who went 95 not out in 60 balls and Ruturaj Gaikwad also helped with his 64 had Chennai posted a target of 220.
