Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 25 runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Travis Head's devastating century and captain Pat Cummins' perseverance worked very well together to help Sunrisers Hyderabad defeat Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 25 runs on Monday in this high-scoring match. Heinrich Klaasen's devastating 67 (31b, 2x4, 7x6) and Head's maiden T20 hundred (102, 41b, 9x4, 8x6) helped Sunrisers smash their previous best 277/3 against Mumbai Indians on March 27 in Hyderabad, setting a new record.

In contrast to their counterparts, the visiting bowlers, headed by Cummins (3/43) displayed exceptional talent on a barren field, holding the RCB to 262 for seven. The greatest total runs scored in a T20 match—549—was also recorded in this IPL encounter. Although they played excellent hands, skipper Faf du Plessis (62, 28b, 7x4, 4x6) and the incredibly inventive Dinesh Karthik (83, 35b, 5x4, 7x6) concluded the evening as mere footnotes.
