India announces squad for T20 World Cup

The 15-member Indian team for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 was revealed by the (BCCI) on Tuesday. The tournament will take place in the USA and the West Indies beginning on June 1. In the main event, India will be led by Rohit Sharma, with Hardik Pandya serving as his deputy. Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant are the two new wicketkeepers that India has recruited to their team. The team has also included star batsman Virat Kohli, who has been hammering home runs in the current IPL 2024.

About 16 months after being involved in an automobile accident on the Delhi-Dehradun route in Uttarakhand in 2022, Pant is scheduled to return to the Indian squad. Four spinners—Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Yuzvendra Chahal—have been selected by India for their team. Yuzvendra Chahal, who was selected for the first time in a T20 World Cup team, is one of the noteworthy additions.
