Sunrisers Hyderabad to a comfortable victory by four wickets against Punjab

At the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, Abhishek Sharma struck a blistering 66 off just 28 balls to lead the Sunrisers Hyderabad to a commanding four-wicket victory with five balls remaining in their last IPL group encounter against the Punjab Kings. Abhishek blasted five fours and six sixes, while Heinrich Klaasen fell for an outstanding 42 from 26 balls with three fours and two sixes as the Sunrisers stormed to victory despite losing high-scoring opener Travis Head to the opening ball of the run-chase.

Rahul Tripathi and Nitish Reddy upheld the Sunrisers' "all or nothing" mentality, smashing 33 off of 28 balls and 37 off of 25 before giving way to Harshal Patel (2-49). However, the home team's batsmen didn't show any signs of faltering until the victory was all but a formality. Head was a "impact player" at the top of the order, but left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh's classic away swinger cost him his wicket.
