Adelaide Strikers secured a 49 run win against Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League at Adelaide Oval. Paceman Kane Richardson achieved a rare milestone during the match collecting a total of 100 BBL wickets to become the third bowler overall to have done so, he scalped four wickets giving away 32 runs as Strikers were bowled out at 149.
Despite his milestone achievement Renegades’ batting lineup failed to contribute much on the scoreboard and were sent home for just 100 in 18.4 overs. Strikers’ star spinner Rashid Khan took two wickets for 17 in the four overs giving little chance to Renegades to make a comeback and later Wes Agar also collected 3-17 from three overs. The fast bowler, trapped Daniel Drew with lbw then took the wicket of Adelaide’s top-scorer Jon Wells and in the last overtook two more wickets to complete his attack.
