Afghan ODI team's teenage spinner is back for the Pakistan series

For the three-match ODI series against Pakistan that will be contested in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan announced a potent 18-member squad. In order to perfect the final lineup for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India later this year, Noor Ahmad was re-inducted into Afghanistan's ODI team. Due to Noor's comeback, left-arm spinner Zia Ur Rahman Akbar, who just made his ODI debut against Bangladesh, was unable to play. Izharulhaq Naveed, an unproven leg-spinner who was a member of the Test team, was not included as well in the final squad. Fast bowlers Wafadar Momand and Mohammad Saleem Safi, who participated in the most recent ODI tour to Bangladesh, have been able to keep their positions.

Pakistan's ODI series versus Afghanistan is scheduled as follows: First ODI, Hambantota, 22 August, Second ODI, August 24, Hambantota, and Third ODI, Colombo on August 26.
