All-rounder Chris Woakes leaves test touring party to fly back home

England All-rounder Chris Woakes returned from Ahmedabad and would not be part of the playing XI for the fourth and final test of the England tour of India as per the pre-planned arrangements, he has left England's bio-secure bubble on Thursday to return back home and the 31-year-old was named in South Africa, Sri Lanka, and India series but has not played in any of the matches.

Jos Buttler has already returned after the first test, Moeen Ali also returned after the second test match, and James Anderson was rested for the second test as England and Wales Cricket Board keeps the player on rotational shifts. England head coach Chris Silverwood had expected that the team would hold out for a little longer duration in Ahmedabad but are now 2-1 in the series and are out of the race for ICC World Test Championship and India is still leading at the top with 71%.
