Anrich Nortje opens up IPL return

Ahead of the encounter against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Delhi Capitals (DC) right-arm seamer, Anrich Nortje, opened up about his comeback, expressing his joy at being back on the field. The match is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur. While RR began their campaign with a 20-run victory over the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), DC faced a setback in their opener, losing to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by four wickets.

Speaking about his return, the 30-year-old South African player highlighted the presence of world-class players and coaches in the DC camp. Nortje mentioned taking an extended break to allow his body to fully recover from the injury. He officially joined the DC franchise for the IPL 2024 season on Monday, following their first match against PBKS, which ended in a defeat.
