Pakistan beat Hong Kong by 155 runs to ensure their spot in the Super Four stage of Asia Cup. Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman secured half centuries each to lead the Pakistan team into a dominating 193/2 against Hong Kong in an Asia Cup group league match on Friday. Rizwan stood undefeated on 78 runs not out off 57 balls. Meanwhile, Zaman bagged 53 runs off 41 balls. Ehsan Khan (2/28) took out two wickets for Hong Kong.
Naseem Shah smashed twice in the third over of the innings. Later on, the spinners Shadab Khan (4/8) and Mohammad Nawaz (3/5) did the damage as they shared seven wickets. Shadab's googlies were unforeseen for the opposition batsmen and then he ended Hong Kong's innings dismissing Mohammad Ghaznafar.
Unable to handle the pressure, Hong Kong bowlers lost their footing to allow Pakistan to collect 77 runs off the last 30 balls.
