Australia has signed Spencer Johnson to its roster for Upcoming NZ series

With Spencer Johnson now part of Australia's team, the all-rounder has a great opportunity to guarantee his place in the Twenty20 World Cup roster. Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Pat Cummins, have already confirmed for the competition; there may not be room for more than one fast bowler in the lineup.

The 28-year-old will be replacing all-rounder Marcus Stoinis in the 15-player touring squad for the three-match series in New Zealand, according to an announcement made by Cricket Australia. The choice was made after Stoinis was declared out of the second Twenty20 encounter against the West Indies in Perth last week owing to back pain. Australia and New Zealand will play their first Twenty20 International (T20I) match at Wellington Regional Stadium on Wednesday, February 21. The series' last two matches, on February 23 and 25, will be played at Eden Park in Auckland.
