Australia was on a tour against Bangladesh for a T20 series and saw a sad defeat from the green jerseys. Aussies lost 3 out of 4 games played against Bangladesh resulting in a series loss. Former Australian batting veteran Mark Taylor was disappointed that only one player, Mitchel Marsh was living up to the standards of the team. Bangladesh set a low target of 128 runs and the Aussies couldn’t grab a win even with Marsh’s amazing knock of 51 in 47 balls.
It is obvious that without world class players like Steve Smith, Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell, David Warner and Labuschagne, it was difficult for the team to play. According to Taylor, without these players it’s like an A team, and from an A team you expect some players to knock 70 runs or 50 runs at least. But that was not the case seen. Taylor pointed out the batting depth issues faced by Australia and mentioned that it is a big concern, no matter what the reason is.
