The previous greatest successful chase in a World Cup game was Australia's 258 against Sri Lanka in 2017. After winning five games, Australia has qualified for the World Cup 2022 semi-finals. Australia got off to a flying start and later Lanning took the game away from India
Pooja Vastrakar played exceptionally well for India. She did an all-round performance; she scored 34 runs and took 2 wickets. After Pooja send Perry back to the pavilion, Beth Mooney joined Lanning and scored 30 runs off just 20 balls. The chase became interesting when Lanning fell 3 runs short of her century in the penultimate, but Beth Mooney took Australia home.
