Both the team's boards are working out a few kinks before Australia's tour of Pakistan is officially announced. This would be the first time since 1998 when Australia would visit the country for any format before the teams played the match on neutral ground. The tour would be announced for early March as per the reports with three Tests, three ODIs, and a single T20I.
George Bailey, the national selector would be making a squad for the tour from an entire first-choice roster. Currently, the three Tests are set to be played in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi but a location change is being discussed. Unfortunately, Jhye Richardson would not be part of the tour as he is rested after his successful contribution in the 4-0 Ashes series thumping, and later Richardson is needed for the Sri Lanka Tour as well as India in 2023, as well as few players might be involved in IPL which would tentatively begin from March 27.
