Australias win the first-ever ODI within the seventh over

Australia’s record eight-wicket triumph in Canberra secured a 3-0 one-day international series victory against the West Indies. It was the shortest ODI ever played in Australia as the hosts triumphed with 43.1 overs remaining. Australia's Xavier Bartlett claimed four wickets in the West Indies innings, which saw them fall from 38-1 to 86 all out. Adam Zampa, a spinner, and fast Lance Morris each claimed two wickets.

Within seven overs in the chase, Josh Inglis scored 35 and Jake Fraser-McGurk added 41 runs as the team sprinted towards the short target. The only player from the West Indies to score more than a dozen runs was Alick Athanaze (32). They were bowled in 24.1 overs, and Alick's 13 more runs outscored every other batsman. Now, a three-match Twenty20 series between the two teams will begin on Friday in Hobart.
