Bangladesh beats Zimbabwe in the first match of their T20 series by eight wickets, played at the Harare Sports Club. Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar featured in a 102-run opening wicket partnership where Naim finished on 63, not out, and Sarkar managed to score half-century before getting run out. Their partnership set Bangladesh on the way to a very comfortable win on Thursday as they easily chased down a target of 153 with seven balls still remaining.
The toss was won by Zimbabwe who chose to bat first with Regis Chakabva. Both the teams will meet again for a three-game series on Friday and Sunday. Prior to this, Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe during their one-off test matches this month.
