Bangladesh hammered Ireland by 77 runs in the second T20

Liton scored a career-high 83 off 41 balls, while Rony Talukdar struck 44 off 23, helping Bangladesh reach 202-3 in 17 less overs due to rain. Shakib then took 5-22 to dismiss Ireland for 125-9 and surpass Tim Southee of New Zealand's 134 wickets to become the most prolific international T20 wicket-taker. Ireland's leading scorer, Curtis Campher, with 50 points, but it came far too late. Once Taskin Ahmed, who finished with 3-27, grabbed a wicket off the opening ball of the innings, the visitors were never in the game. Ireland was then down to 43 for 6.

After Ireland captain Paul Stirling won the toss and decided to bowl, Liton and Rony shared 124 runs in their opening partnership, which was the greatest start by Bangladesh in a T20. Liton got his fifty off 18 balls, the quickest T20 fifty for Bangladesh.
