Blackcaps jumps two places to top test ranking by defeating Pakistan

New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 2-0 in the two-match home series to top the ICC World Test ranking table and leapfrogged over Australia and India with the win. Kyle Jamieson was the one to watch with his five-wicket haul to defeat Pakistan by 176 runs in the second test. New Zealand had in the dismissed Pakistan at 186 at Christchurch’s Hagley Oval.

For Jamieson, this was his second 5 wicket haul he clinched 6 wickets giving away 48 runs in the second inning while in the first he ended 5-69. Black Caps now hold the chance to qualify for the inaugural World Test Championship final at Lord’s in June if they maintain their position at first place or second. The magnificent performance by Kane Williamson helped them post 659-6 an intimidating score to match for Pakistan.
