Bottom dwellers KXIP beat the top flight MI in a historical two Super Overs

The historical game between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians finally ended in a dramatic second over, where the worst-performing team in IPL, KXIP beat the former Champions when Chris Gayle and Mayank Agarwal put in a 12-run target in the second super over.

Punjab successfully chased the 177 targets set forth by Mumbai and in the last overs Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult held back the skipper KL Rahul in securing their win then. The first super over with Bumrah and Mohammed Shami’s excellent bowling saw both the teams tie again. From Mumbai’s side, Kieron Pollard’s efforts in the second Super Over proved useless when KXIP handed a defeat to Mumbai later.
