CSK’s head coach Stephen Fleming complimented Ruturaj Gaikwad’s form as he led CSK to their nine-wicket win over KXIP. Ruturaj with Faf du Plessis put up an 82-run opening stand which helped CSK beat KXIP and end the season cheerfully, unbeaten Ruturaj scored 62 off 42 balls while Plessis made 48. On the last match for CSK in IPL 2020, Gaikwad penned his name down in CSK’s book by scoring back to back half-centuries in three games with a total of 204 runs and an average of 51 for the first six innings. His half-centuries were registered against KKR, RCB, and KXIP. After a consistently poor performance at the start of the campaign, the back to back three wins help morale for CSK.
