MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings to a surprisingly big win against Delhi Capitals by 91 runs to stay alive in the hunt for play-off space. The next few games are crucial for the franchise if the defending champions stands a chance to make a play for the title. CSK got off to a poor start this season, as Ravindra Jadeja took charge of the team but later handed back the captaincy to Dhoni mid-way through the tournament.
After losing seven of the ten matches CSK desperately needed a win and openers Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad started the match with a good knock. Conway powered the team to 208 runs for 6 in 20 overs and later Delhi was restricted to 117 runs in 17.4 overs with Moeen’s three-wicket scalp.
