Sunrisers Hyderabad was unable to repeat their stellar performance against Delhi Capitals and lost Qualifier 2 by 17 runs. While Kane Williamson was disappointed as they failed to force their way to the finals but was happy with the team’s performance so far as they beat the odds to clenched the last place in the playoffs. Delhi Capitals now get one more chance to fight Mumbai Indians after losing the first playoffs match to the defending champions. For Delhi, Kagiso Rabada and Marcus Stoinis together scalped 7 wickets while they defended their target of 189 runs. From Sunrisers' side, Williamson recorded 67 runs and in the first inning, Shikhar Dhawan and Shimron Hetmyer respectively made 78 and 42 runs to help Delhi post 189 as Sunrisers bowlers failed to curtail them as they did with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
