Delhi Capitals Mitchell Marsh’s in-form performance helped the team take out Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday with an eight-wicket win in the Indian Premier League. Delhi is still hopeful of landing the playoff spot as well in the tournament.
Marsh’s start to the event this season had not been perfect with a hip injury and the positive test for COVID-19, but the player picked up pace scoring 62-ball 89 including seven sixes as Delhi achieved their target of 161 runs with over two overs to spare in their chase. The 30-year-old did share David Warner offered a lot of support and his knock of unbeaten 52 runs helped Delhi go fifth in the standings just two points short of clinching the playoff spot.
