Delhi Capitals squash Chennai Super Kings

Shikhar Dhawan and Axar Patel, two left-handers were playing in the last over with Delhi Capitals needing 17 runs. Dwayne Bravo, MS Dhoni's best option was off the field. This left M.S. Dhoni with two options: Karn Sharma, a leg-spinner, or Ravindra Jadeja. Dhoni, without an ounce of doubt, chose the left-arm spinner.

Choosing Sharma could have been a gamble because of his slowish leg-breaks. And, Jadeja on the other hand was the safer and more predictable option. Dhoni might have thought in case Shikhar Dhawan went off the strike, Jadeja's accurate and quickish balls full outside-off stump could do wonders for CSK. However, luck was not on CSK's side. Delhi Capitals managed to win the match by 179/4 with a ball to spare.
