England defeats India in series opener

Jofra Archer took 3 wickets for 23 runs in Ahmedabad on Friday. Indian batsmen struggled to score freely against English bowling. Shreyas Iyer scored a 67-run knock that took host to a total of 127 for 7 at Narendra Modi stadium. In reply, Jason Roy made 49 off 32 and made sure India is not getting back into the game. In the absence of scoreboard pressure, England chased down the target of 125 runs with ease in 15.3 overs.

Mark wood and Jofra Archer never allowed Indian batsmen to get any momentum going. England’s pacers used extra bounce effectively to keep Indian batsmen in trouble.
