England was forced to post lowest first innings

Indian spinners rejoiced after they cut through England’s batting line to limit them to 112 runs in the first inning on Day 1 of Test 3. England was looking to climb ahead early by getting a comfortable lead in Ahmedabad after India leveled the series by winning Test 2 but could not do so after they posted their lowest first inning score away from home. Earlier they were bowled out at 134 in Chennai.

Indian Spinner Axar Patel picked up five wickets 5-37 while Ashwin was right behind him with four wickets and the other was picked up by Ishant Sharma who was playing his 100th test match and all the spinners together had a field day and picked the most number of wickets by spinners in an innings of a Day/Night Test.
