Fast bowler Jofra Archer said he was "fully back" from his long injury

Due to a stress fracture in his back, Archer, who hasn't played cricket for his country since March of last year, was declared out for the entire season in May. Prior to that, he missed time due to an elbow ailment that necessitated additional surgery in December 2021. On Wednesday, the first day of the match, Archer threw nine overs, and at the conclusion of the second day of action, he was 39 not out.

While Archer is not a member of the team that will travel to Pakistan for three matches starting next week, he is vying for a berth in the squad for the Ashes series that will take place on British soil in June of the following year. After being selected as a wild card choice on Wednesday, Archer is anticipated to play for the Mumbai Indians' Cape Town franchise in South Africa's new Twenty20 competition in January.
