Finn Allen went past Brendon McCullum as the player with the highest score

Against Pakistan in the third T20 International in Dunedin on Wednesday, New Zealand set a goal of 225 runs after opener Finn Allen struck a record-breaking 137 off 62 deliveries. By doing so, Allen surpassed Brendon McCullum to become the player from New Zealand with the greatest score in the game's shortest format. In addition, he tied the world record of 16 sixes in an innings held by Hazratullah Zazai of Afghanistan. In one over, he struck Pakistani great Haris Rauf for 27 runs.

In the third T20 international match against New Zealand, Pakistan had earlier won the toss and chosen to bowl first once again. The hosts, who won easily the previous two games by 46 and 21 runs, respectively, will win the five-match series if the Blackcaps win. The first two games toss winners and first-bowler for Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, said that the cloudy weather worked to his advantage. About the necessity to prevail and extend the series, he remarked, "I think we're ready."
