Glenn Maxwell and Josh Hazlewood to miss the first match

Hazlewood has been out for a considerable amount of time due to an injury, and he also skipped the just finished Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He was declared out of the four-match Test series against India halfway through because of his ongoing Achilles ailment, which he sustained during the series against South Africa. Despite being in Australia and making a good recovery from his injury, the great pacer's participation in the IPL is still up in the air. The pacer will join the RCB camp after fully recovered and will not compete in the early rounds of the lucrative event, according to Cricket Australia.

Maxwell, 34, was unable to participate in the Big Bash League since he injured his leg shortly after the T20 World Cup ended. While he recently played in the ODI series against India, it is thought that the Australia international is still not fully match-fit and is thus unlikely to play in the game against the Mumbai Indians.
