Glenn Maxwell hits record-equaling 4th T20I century

In T20I cricket history, Australia's Glenn Maxwell has tied India captain Rohit Sharma for the most hundreds scored. At the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, Australia defeated India in the final over thanks to a spectacular century from Maxwell. In the third Twenty20 International of the five-match series, Maxwell struck Australia's quickest T20I century to lead them to a five-wicket victory against India. Maxwell hit eight boundaries and as many sixes in his undefeated 104 off 48 deliveries against India.

In the final four balls of the game, Maxwell hit India bowler Prasidh Krishna for three consecutive boundaries and a six, sealing the victory for the Australians. Australia survived the five-match series with this victory, having lost the first two games at Vizag and Thiruvananthapuram. Remarkably, Maxwell equaled Rohit's T20I record to mark his 100th T20I for Australia on this occasion. The two hitters have each amassed four hundreds, which is the most in the game's shortest version.
