Kishan surpassed Chris Gayle's record by scoring his second double hundred in international cricket in just 126 deliveries. He scored 23 boundaries and nine sixes in his innings. Virat Kohli gained the 72nd century in international cricket to eclipse the record of 71 international centuries, which Ricky Ponting achieved in 2009. Ishan made his 44th ODI century in the 50-over format after three years in the 39th ODI.
