India edged out West Indies to grab a 3-0 clean sweep

With the 17 run win against West Indies, India got their hands on a 3-0 whitewash and stake their claim on the No.1 spot in the ICC T20I rankings. India had already secured the series in their favor with two back-to-back wins in the previous two matches. Entering the third and final Twenty20 international confident and determined to complete the 3-0 sweep, West Indies did not stand a chance at Kolkata's Eden Gardens on Sunday.

Once again Suryakumar Yadav’s fiery form helped push India forward with his knock of 65 runs smashing seven sixes to guide India to a defendable 184 runs at the end of 20 overs. West Indies stumbled at the start losing their top order cheaply until Nicholas Pooran offered some stability with his knock of 61 runs to trouble India but Harshal Patel’s clever bowling attack limited the tourists with his 3-22 figures. Later West Indies fell short by 17 runs and return home empty-handed.
