India is all set to take on Sri Lanka in a few days

India is ready to kickstart their tour of Sri Lanka which would kick off on 13th July with an ODI match. Former India batsman VVS Laxman believes the upcoming series would give Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal a much-needed confidence boost. Both the spin duo were once a key part of India’s limited-overs bowling attack and even proved their worth during the 50-over World Cup in 2019. Since then their form has seen a decline.

With six spinners in the squad, they would have to fight for a place in all the three ODIs. With the T20 World Cup also on the calendar this year the spin twins need to regain confidence. Laxman also lauded Suryakumar Yadav’s form and shared he has the potential to be part of the World T20 squad. The Shikhar Dhawan-led India are visiting Sri Lanka for a limited over series.
