Virat Kohli would be leading India in England while another 20 member squad led by Shikhar Dhawan would head out for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. A team coached by Rahul Dravid would take on Sri Lanka for a short white-ball series. This is the first time Dravid has been put in charge of a senior team, which is a blend of experienced and young players.
The top order includes Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw who be the first-choice openers then Devdutt Padikkal and Ruturaj Gaikwad who provide a good backup option. Indian squad also has Nitish Rana, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, and Suryakumar Yadav. Bhuvneshwar Kumar would be serving as the deputy and in the past has led SRH in the absence of David Warner or Kane Williamson. Shaw, Manish Pandey, Samson, and Kuldeep Yadav would be given a chance to prove themselves once again.
