India whipped South Africa in the 1st Test at Centurion

Indian cricket team enjoys a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series against South Africa with the 113-run triumph in Centurion. Heading towards Day 5 the Virat Kohli-led side needed to pick up six South African wickets as they aim to claim the maiden series triumph against the Proteas on their ground.

Indian bowlers restricted South Africa to just 97 runs at the end as the six wickets fell one by one this was after both sides lost the second day to rain. India stayed consistent with their aggressive approach while Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah performed well in both innings as both the bowlers notched their own historic record Shami completed hit 200 Test wickets and Bumrah completed his 100 overseas Test wickets in 23rd Test. Both sides would now meet for the second test at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
