Ireland will tour Zimbabwe for T20Is and ODIs

The Irish men will set out to tour Zimbabwe for three T20Is and three ODIs in January 2023. All six matches will take place at the Harare Sports Club. The tour will begin with the T20Is on January 12, 14 and 15, followed by the ODIs on January 18, 20 and 23. The ODI series will not be counted in the World Cup Super League.

For both sides, the series will be the first international game since the T20 World Cup and will give a vital contribution to the ODI World Cup Qualifier, which is set to take place in Zimbabwe in June-July 2023.

Zimbabwe is currently out of contention to qualify directly for the 2023 World Cup, which is planned for October-November in India, while Ireland is stuck in a four-way scuffle to seal the eighth and final automatic-qualification spot.
