Jofra Archer will miss first New Zealand test

Ace England pacer Jofra Archer would have to prove his fitness to be part of England's squad that would take on New Zealand in June. The player bowled 29.2 overs in the Second XI game at Hove and maintained a record of 2/102 but the English team management wants him to perform better and prove his worth before the test. His right elbow has also been troubling this season and Sussex medical and coaching staff will discuss whether he would be available against Kent or not.

Archer’s last international match was against India in February and head coach of England, Chris Silverwood is considering, his club-mate Ollie Robinson as his replacement after he went 5/58. England would also take on India next in the home series and BCCI has released a 30-man squad already
