Keegan Petersen and Beuran Hendricks have been withdrawn from South Africa's Test team. Now, they cannot play the Sri Lanka series. When the playing group convened on Saturday, neither of them entered the tour bubble. It was due to the detection of two positive Covid-19 results last week. CSA cannot name who the infected players are. It is for reasons of doctor-patient confidentiality.
The other 17 team members have tested negative on all three shots. Thus making the environment bio-secure. South Africa will not amalgamate any players to the team for the two-Test series, the one which begins on Boxing Day.
South Africa can begin training as a full team on Wednesday as now they have cleared three rounds of testing.
